Art for Places

Wirral is the second area in the Art for Places programme to commission a piece of public art.

The theme for Art for Places Wirral is 'My Neighbourhood', and residents are being asked to nominate their favourite local places as possible sites for the commission.

You can nominate where you think the artwork should go at www.artforplaces.com .

So far, there have been four community engagement events where local residents have been able to find out about Art for Places and get involved.

The feedback from residents will inform the site selection process, which is due to take place in the early part of 2010.

Once the site has been chosen, the brief for the commission will be developed.
