Plans for the Future

By the end of the 15 year programme, the housing market on Merseyside will have changed radically. There will be more choice in tenure and property type, half of people in NewHeartlands areas will own their own homes and numbers of properties standing empty for long periods will have dropped.

NewHeartlands will also have supported economic activity and reduced the numbers of people leaving priority neighbourhoods. For the first time in 50 years, there will no longer be a surplus of unwanted housing and neighbourhoods will no longer be in decline.
