The NewHeartlands initiative is having a huge impact on south Sefton, with a number of new housing developments now complete or near completion. There are successful group repair schemes in these areas and neighbourhood managers who deliver vital services for residents.
If you live in one of the following areas, then you are in one of NewHeartlands' housing market renewal neighbourhoods:
A number of sources of funding have been secured, meaning that by the end of 2008, a total of £123 million will have been invested into the five neighbourhoods.
The local community has been consulted, in order to develop masterplans for the Bedford /Queens, Klondyke, Knowley/Peel and Linacre areas. These lay out the long-term improvements required in each area and will direct how any future investment is spent.
