The Housing Market Renewal programme will improve the housing and environment of key areas in Wirral. There are five priority areas, four of which now have plans in place to tackle the housing issues of each area. The four masterplan areas for Wirral are:
At the heart of these developments are the people in the local
community and residents in these areas have given their
overwhelming support for radical changes. The programme aims to
make these changes while being sensitive to the needs of the
community. It will introduce 'living through change'
initiatives to make the process easier for residents in these
areas, ranging from providing new green spaces to tackling
anti-social behaviour.
